Deluxe Method 5 Glassware Set with Transport Case

The Deluxe Method 5 Glassware Set with Transport Case (GN-DGS) contains all the glassware plus spares for a full test series. Four filter assemblies cover three sampling runs plus one as a spare. Two full sets of impingers and U-Tubes permit a second run before recovering the first run results. The deluxe glassware set includes spare impingers, U-tubes and Double “L” adapters. The glassware set fits easily into foam lined custom pockets. The sturdy transport case is lockable for secure chain-of-custody.

Optional Glassware Styles

Apex Instruments offers several different styles of glassware to meet your requirements. Our GN Series of glassware is the most popular; it features extra heavy borosilicate glass with unground #28 ball and socket joints with Viton® o-ring seals on the ball joints and the inner taper joints. Unground joints cost less and are more durable than ground joints and the o-rings provide a tight, leak-free seal without grease. The G-WG Series is ideal for customers who are switching from ground glassware to the unground. The G-WG incorporates ground ball joints with o-rings, ground socket and taper joints. The G Series features the traditional ground joints, which normally require grease or PTFE tape for sealing. The GS Series uses SVL screw joints, which require special seals and are prone to cracking under field use. The GH Series uses a combination of ground joints and SVL screw joints.

Ball and Socket Joint Adapters

A variety of size 28 ball and socket adapters are available for connecting to rigid or flexible sample lines. Our most popular adapters are constructed from glass filled PFA. Glass fiber fillers are added to virgin PFA to improve the mechanical properties. The fittings are more resistant to deformation and wear, and can tolerate higher temperatures. The glass filled adapters are tapped for 1/4 inch NPT fittings. Both straight and elbow PFA fittings with 1/4 inch NPT are available for 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch tubing. In addition we offer a glass filled PFA ball joint with a 5/8 inch tube union for adapting to plain probe liners or liners with integrated nozzles.
Stainless steel joints are custom fabricated with standard tube unions or pipe couplings.
