The accuracy of a stack sampling program is highly dependent upon the quality of the sampling train components. The insertion of an extraction nozzle into a flow field must be done with extreme accuracy, if the sample is to be truly representative. Therefore, it is extremely critical that the nozzle edge be perfectly sharp and smooth. Bending of the flow streamlines must be conducted with the minimum possible disturbance. If these principles are not adhered to, the balance of one's efforts are pointless*.
The BGI Buttonhook Nozzle represents a quality alternative to all similar equipment. All nozzles have been manufactured to the exact principles as outlined above. In order to facilitate cleaning, each nozzle is polished to a mirror finish. The nozzles are compatible with BGI's in-stack thimble holders and EPA-type sampling trains terminating in 5/8 inch Swagelok fitting. Nozzles are furnished without nuts or ferrule. A ferrule and nut are available at nominal cost. Stainless steel (316) construction is used throughout.
