California Analytical Model 300HFID Total Hydrocarbon
Analyzer
The California Analytical Model 300HFID THC analyzer incorporates a
heated flame ionization detector. The instrument, unlike most other THC
analyzers, uses capillary tubes and electronic pressure controllers for
gas pressure regulation. That means no more manual back pressure regulator!
The instrument incorporates front panel diagnostics for troubleshooting.
The instrument is set up for calibrations using propane gas standards,
but can be re-optimized to calibrate using methane standards. Ranging is
selectable from 10 ppm to 30,000 ppm.

MSA Model 8800 Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer
The MSA Model 8800 THC analyzer incorporates a heated flame ionization
detector. The instrument is microprocessor controlled and also uses capillary
tubes for gas pressure regulation. Although the instrument incorporates
a manual back pressure regulator, the regulator is highly accurate and
does not require constant adjustment. The instrument incorporates front
panel diagnostics for troubleshooting. Calibrations using either methane
or propane are accomplished with the push of a button. Ranging is user-defined
from 10 ppm to 100% (and linear above
30, 000 ppm!)

California Analytical Model 300M HFID Methane/Non-Methane
Analyzer
The California Analytical Model 300M HFID THC analyzer incorporates
a heated flame ionization detector and a proprietary hydrocarbon cutter.
The cutter responds to better than 90 % of the methane in a gas sample,
while responding to less than 2% of the ethane and 0.1% of all other hydrocarbons.
When in THC mode, the analyzer will respond to all hydrocarbons in a gas
stream. In methane mode, the instrument will only respond to the methane
in a gas stream. The non-methane content is the total hydrocarbon content,
less the methane content. Ranging is selectable from 10 ppm to 30,000 ppm.

The California Analytical THC analyzers require the use of
40% hydrogen/ 60% helium fuel. The MSA THC analyzer can operate using either
pure hydrogen or the helium fuel mixture. All the analyzers require an
external combustion air supply. For extended use try our combustion air
pack rather than compressed air.
Thermo Environmental Model 15 Hydrogen Chloride
Analyzer
The Thermo Model 15 HCl analyzer uses a gas filter correlation / non-dispersive
infrared detector. The gas filter correlation technique reduces instrument
cross-sensitivity to similar gases. Calibration values are adjusted via
the zero and span thumb wheels. The Model 15 offers ranging from 5 to 5,000
ppm.

Service Note
HCl is highly soluble in water. Pacwill recommends using a
dilution probe and panel when quantifying HCl emissions in moist environments.
Check with a Cherokee representative to determine if dilution will work
for you.
