Model 3200 Oxygen System

Design and performance:

  • X-Situ, Aspirated
  • Process Gas: ambient up to 1650°C (3000°F)
  • Response time: Cell <100 milliseconds, Amplifier output <1 second, System 63% <18 seconds, System 95%<30 seconds
  • Calibration Error: <0.5%O2 over all
  • 2% O2 +/- 0.1%
  • Cal Drift <0.5% O2

System Description:

Each Model 3200 Oxygen analyzer system comes with a integral mounted Digital display, Manual Gas controls for reference, calibration and aspiration air, 4-20mA output in a NEMA 12 enclosure. The probe material is based on temperature and will be made of 601 S.S. up to 815 °C (1500°F) and ceramic up to 1650°C (3000°F).

How it works:

The Model 3200 probe extends into the gas stream and the sample is drawn back to the cell mounted behind the mounting flange. Aspiration air flow forces the sample back into the process. EMS has solved many of the problems associated with high temperature oxygen monitors: Sensor cell deterioration, process temperature variations, corrosion, plugging of external sample lines and difficult maintenance and repair.

Features:

Pre-Tested - Each system is pre-tested and all gas plumbing is check before shipment. Connections for all gasses are made through NPT connections installed in the enclosure.

Reliable - Measurements are made on "wet, total sample basis" using the well known Nernst equation. Zirconium oxide fuel cell measurement of oxygen is currently used in installations worldwide.

Stable - The oxygen analyzer is insensitive to changes in process gas flow or temperature and is independent of fuel type.

On-Line Calibration - The oxygen sensor cell can operate for months without calibration, however a manual operated calibration gas control system is provided to test the system with certified gases.

No Sample Lines - No sample lines to clog, leak, dilute or slow system response time.

Low Maintenance - All components, including the detector are easily assessable and can be field serviced without removing the probe or the mounting flange. Long term, continuous operation with a minimum amount of operator intervention.

Each system includes:

  • Electronics and gas controls in NEMA 12 Enclosure.
  • Digital Display
  • 4-20mA output
  • Manual gas controls for reference, calibration and aspiration air.
  • Probe with 4 inch S.S. mounting flange
  • Installation manual

Options:

  • Alarm contacts
  • Automatic gas control package with remote, 24 hour clock or computer initiation.
  • NEMA 4 enclosure
  • Z purge kit for use in Hazardous duty areas.
Utility Requirements:
  • Aspiration air: 3.0L/min
  • Reference air: Clean dry instrument air, 1 L/min +/- 20%
  • Calibration gas: Zero with 2% oxygen balance N2, 3 L/min.
  • Power: 115/230VAC, 50/60Hz., 1 PH +/- 10%, 1 amp.
